About Our Studio

Olsen and Associates has been in the business of doing residential and commercial design for more than 31 years. The founder and lead designer, Kenneth Olsen, ASID, LID, NCIDQ board certified, is a graduate of the Art Institute of Philadelphia with a degree in Interior Design. Kenneth also attended Temple University where he earned his certification in Landscape Design and Bucks County College where earned a degree in Business Management  / Accounting. Kenneth is licensed by the Florida Board of Architecture and Interior Design and has taken and passed the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam. This makes him one of a few interior designers in this exclusive class; only half the designers who take the exam achieve a passing score. Kenneth stays current on trends in design by completing 20 state Continuing Education courses every two years. Kenneth was also an adjunct professor at Seminole State College for more than 11 years and was a contestant on HGTV's Design Star season 3. Olsen and Associates has been published in books, newspapers and magazines in addition to winning numerous awards including Parade of Homes, Aurora Awards, ASID, Orlando Opera Guild and Ronald McDonald House.
